It was an honor for Egypt to became the first Arab country to send an Olympic delegation; fencer Ahmed Hassanein to the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. And since then, the sport has started to grow more by the year; the number of its athletes was
getting bigger, till the Egyptian Fencing team became one of the best in Africa.

The Best Olympic Achievement
Abd El-Moneam Hussiny achieved the highest result for Egyptians in Los Angeles 1984, by reaching the round of 16 in the foil, also the superstar and the current coach for the Egyptian team, Tamer Tahoun, repeating what Abd el Moneam Hussin did in 1984 by
reaching the same round in the same event in Athens 2004.
